"Back in my day 68 to 73, Bryan was a housemaster who did not believe in corporal punishment. He went against that type of punitive grain which set him out side the "norm". Something I remember as being admirable. He taught me maths for a while and so I can substantiate his significant patience ! I am sorry to hear of his demise - all who once knew him are now custodians of his fond memory. "

"Very sad to hear this news, I had the great privilege to be his chosen House Captain in the late 70's. His quiet nature, and great humanity set him apart from many of his contemporaries and he taught me much about leadership and respect of others that have served me in well in the years that have followed. R.I.P. Bryan"

"Very sad to hear the news of Bryan's passing. I have many fond memories of being taught by him & also his efforts in organising some excellent six form dances! "

"Saddened to hear today about the passing of Mr Clauson. Somehow I had managed to evade him until sixth form which was remarkable for someone who had such influence on the school. My fond memory from my time in economics was when I approached him outside the masters room and he rubbed out the main school blackboard in the main hall and put up some graphs to help me out with economics. A man who was always willing to help out at any time and a true gentle giant. He will be missed."
